Superbly handcrafted rosewood jewelry box!
These boxes are handcrafted by Indian artisans with many years of experience. This tradition has been with these families for generations. During the manufacturing process, the wood is placed into heated chambers for several weeks until the moisture level is reduced to optimum level.
All the wood is then cut to measurement. The carving is done by specialists who only do carvings; it is then passed to the artisans who specialize in brass inlays. The boxes are then assembled after the base velvet lining is put in place first. After the boxes are constructed, it goes through many iterations of polishing and buffing to get the proper finish.
